Oops, it's been quite a while... I can't actually tell anything about dapper handling gforge since I finally - however - got it uninstalled.

This problem still exists in Dapper and has to do with postgresql now being able to have multiple versions install so the postinst script fails looking in the wrong dirs.

I Have the same Issue while upgrading to Edgy Eft.
The whole upgrade stoped and I have still 353 Packages on hold, as long as gforge-db-postgresql is not fixable. I can´t re-install and can´t deinstall the package.

Could you please check if this is still relevant in version 4.5.14-22ubuntu1?

Just to update: Cannot uninstall gforge from ubuntu 9.1 see report:

everything is the latest version and also as a result of this I cannot uninstall apache.

This is a major unsolved issue and it looks like we are now going into 2010 without any resolution. I am just wondering what will happen if we suddenly see a giant monolith in the sky and there is still no resolution.
