Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-app-install

The "Show" combo box has the following contents:
All available applications
All Open Source applications
(horizontal rule)
Canonical-maintained applications
Third party applications
(horizontal rule)
Installed applications only

Per bug 420672 on the Software Sources app (software-properties-gtk), "Third-Party software" has been changed to "Other software". As noted by Ubuntu Docs (Matthew East), for consistency, it should probably be changed here as well.

I therefore propose that "Third party applications" in the combo box should be changed to "Other applications".

The source string is in AppInstall/distros/Ubuntu.py

Naturally, the translation template will need to be updated and, I presume, re-imported into Rosetta for Karmic Ubuntu Translator work, with an email to them. Ubuntu Docs list will need to be updated as well.

This pkg has no bzr branch in karmic, nor is there a patch system, so I am unclear on precise the process for this. (Otherwise, I'd have submitted a branch or patch. I will, if the process is explained to me.)

I will be happy to notify translators and docs if this 'bug' is 'fixed.'

Note: the term "third party" is confusing for several reasons:
 * Who is the first party? The second? If not everyone knows the answer, then "third party" is imprecise
 * it implies non-free to some people

Lastly: If "third-party" is to continue to be used, it should, strictly speaking, be hyphenated (like "Canonical-maintained").
