Bug Description

Similar to #346459 however has only occurred recently so do not believe it is same bug.

trying to perform calculations in google calculator plugin just gives "Google Calculator could not evaluate the expression."

Has only happened since Google has changed the layout of their page.

Hello. Unfortunately, I have this problem now in ubuntu maverick. The version of gnome-do-plugins is 0.8.2.1+dfsg-2ubuntu1. And I suppose there is still no ppa for maverick. Is there another way to solve this problem? I use the currency function a lot... Thanks a lot.

I have the exact same problem! I'm running revision 695 and I still get the same "Google Calculator could not evaluate the expression."
I have cleared my ~/.local/share/gnome-do/ just in case and still nothing! =/

Once again, it is broken. Google keeps changing the output. We need a stable API to work off of, this is getting ridiculous.

We need to switch to a new (stable) API, and I think I found it. But it will take a bit more to fix up. Working on that now. :)

Ok rev 697 is using a (hopefully) stable Google calculator API. This is no longer parsing a general google search result page, it is an actual API using by the Google widgets so hopefully won't break again!

This problem is back. (Can't say when it came back, since I haven't used this plugin before.)
