Comment 3 for bug 426879

Right now, evolution-couchdb is the only user of couchdb-glib, so whenever we add API, we're just making sure evolution-couchdb is updated accordingly instead of incrementing the shlib version. Once the couchdb-glib API is stabilized, we'll be incrementing the version, but for now, I don't think it's needed, specially since we're adding new API almost every week.

So, unless you really want it to be incremented, please accept this as it is
