Last weekend I updated my Opensuse 11.4 system from KDE 4.6 to KDE 4.7.

Up until a week ago Suse's "factory repository for KDE 4.6" had included Kontact, Kmail and other KDEPIM applications only in an "old" version released for KDE 4.4.

So my update to KDE 4.7 via the Opensuse repository was a big jump from Kmail 1.13.x for KDE 4.4 to Kmail 4.7.

And I couldn't believe my eyes - the present Kmail version remedies regression bug #179711:

Dragging emails to folders/subfolders now opens the folders! (again, I may say after 1,5 years since this bug was opened ...)

So, eventually, this bug probably can be closed - at least (or even?) for Opensuse 11.4 users, who upgrade KDE via Suse's KDE factory repository.
