Dragging icons don't have transparent backgrounds

Bug Description

When unity-gtk-module is loaded dragging icons on the MATE desktop or Caja file manager results in the icons not having a transparent background. An animated gif is attached to demonstrate the issue.

This issue appears to have manifested since this upstream GTK commit landed.
