Maltese locale - spelling changes required

Bug Description

Following linguistic decisions made, the spelling of the month of August needs to be changed from Awi / Awissu to Aww / Awwissu.

Is this data taken from the ICU project?

Can you please provide an official resource (web link) which explains/proves this? This should be fixed upstream, but they won't change it without pointers to official resources (for good reason).

Here's a link to the KNIM's website (PDF). It's in Maltese but it's an alphabetical list of words so you can see the word Awwissu in it, with the previous spelling crossed out, on page 3:

The Kunsill Nazzjonali tal-Ilsien Malti is the official body governing grammatical rules etc. for the Maltese language.
