to setup the /boot partition with exactly the size to trigger the bug (the current value is almost right, but slightly to low)

Here is the error:

So it seems it run out of space. The space calculation code did not catch it:

2009-04-23 19:39:18,355 DEBUG dir '/boot' needs '12582912' of '<DistUpgradeCache.FreeSpace object at 0x8a00ed0>' (13949952.000000)

The calculation was too low in u-m

Accepted update-manager into jaunty-proposed, the package will build now and be available in a few hours. Please test and give feedback here. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you in advance!

Update was confirmed to work in two other bugs. This did not include specific testing for this issue, so please complain/reopen if it still exists in the update.
