Bug Description

Binary package hint: flash-kernel

Hi

While reviewing the flash-kernel port to dove boards I found a list of issues which should be addressed but couldn't be addressed in time for A6.

- boot script uses console=tty0 which I believe is the default
- boot scripts relies on default bootcmd in uboot which is supposed to be a loop over all interfaces + devices + partitions + fses + prefixes; I think there's no reason to make that assumption and it would be cleaner not to
- boot script repeats the magic numbers 0x00200000 and 0x01100000

Bye

This bug was fixed in the package flash-kernel - 2.13ubuntu12

---------------
flash-kernel (2.13ubuntu12) karmic; urgency=low

  * Misc updates and bug fixes to Dove implementation (LP: #430344)
    - Update kernel cmdline to include splash, quiet, and ro, and to drop
console=tty0 since it is the default.
    - Update boot script to remove partition scanning in boot script in order
to increase boot speed; try to obtain fs/interface/deveice/prefix from
caller and limit scan to the first two usb and ide partitions.
    - Add a test to prevent booting of old images in memory.
