Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
ubiquity version: 2.3.4
Ubuntu version: Maverick
This is more a kind of discussion or a RFC if you like.
While going through the steps of the new graphical installer, I saw a string that says:
that you are connected to the Internet with an Ethernet cable
Personally I find the use of the word "Ethernet" too techy for non-tech-savvy users or for casual users (to whom the installer is maybe tergeted).
What about using a simpler "with a cabled connection" as opposed to the "wireless network" or "Wireless" string that are in the same template?
Thanks.

I agree on that, ethernet is not the best word. WIred network could do it, as that is what notification notifies you about when you connect it: wired network connected. There is always room for more consistency. :)
